What Is California Responsible Beverage Service Training?
California
law requires on-premise servers of alcoholic beverages be trained and certified
in responsible beverage service. This California Responsible Beverage Service
Training is approved by the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control
(ABC) in accordance with state law AB-1221 and Business and Professions Code
sections 25680 to 25686.
Included in This Training:
This California Responsible Beverage Service training module covers state laws related to alcohol sales as well
as the responsibility servers have to sell and serve alcohol according to the
law. Additionally, employees learn how to verify valid forms of ID, spot fake
IDs, and refuse service to minors or intoxicated guests. In accordance with
state guidelines, the course prepares alcohol servers and their managers to
take and pass the California Alcohol Service Certification exam. After passing
the exam, trainees will receive their Alcohol Server Certification, which is
valid for three years.
