All employees are entitled to a comfortable and hostile-free work environment. Illinois law requires that businesses train their employees on a state and federal anti-harassment laws, how to recognize harassment, how to report harassment, and the employer’s responsibility to investigate harassment complaints.
Additional training requirements apply to employees of restaurants and bars. Employees and supervisors must be trained within 90 days of their hire date. All employees must be retrained each year. This Illinois Sexual Harassment Prevention training course meets and exceeds the minimum training standards as mandated by the Illinois Workplace Transparency Act and related legislation.
Note: This training
does not
meet Chicago's two-hour training requirement for supervisors and managers or the additional hour of bystander training required for all employees.
